A day in the life of an Artist's Shop volunteer consists of:
- Working with the public, including making sales, answering questions, encouraging guests to sign the guest book, and helping to track visitors monthly
- using a Point of Sale system to enter inventory codes for sales, making change
- Working with Arts Council staff to ensure all inventory is correctly coded and inventory is regularly roasted to keep the Shop looking fresh for visitors
- Light dusting duties to keep inventory and Shop clean (may also include vacuuming every now and then)
- Interacting with and logging visiting artists wanting to restock their work
- Closing out system at end of day and running daily drawer report
Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Volunteers work with SAAC staff to coordinate schedules.
