At LSSU, our mission is to inspire the student body, as well as the community at large, to create social change through lifelong participation in volunteer programs and civic engagement.
We have partnered with United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula to bring you opportunities that work with your schedule. Whether you engage for an hour or two here or there, because your class or team requires you to, or you decide to fully immerse yourself in all things civic engagement this portal is for you!
By 'fanning' this portal, you will
- receive opportunities specific to LSSU straight to your email
- log your volunteer hours (allowing LSSU to track how often their students/faculty volunteer in the community)
- view/print reports of the hours you have served over any given time period
- easily share opportunities with your friends, co-workers or students
By registering for a volunteer opportunity, you will be able to easily check in and out as you arrive and leave from the opportunity. Our portal will calculate and track your hours automatically.
