November is Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Month!
We will be asking volunteers to stand or sit along Ashmun Street in Sault Ste. Marie holding cardboard signs with statistical information about our local homeless population.
The objective is to bring awareness to our community that we do have a homelessness population in our community, many of whom will not have a warm safe space to sleep in our coldest months.
Volunteers must be able to stand or sit and hold up a cardboard sign in an outdoor setting for at least one hour.
